Native Tech is Rotorua’s newest and most innovative kaupapa-driven Private Training Establishment (PTE) in the heart of Rotorua. We deliver NZQA-accredited Level 1–3+ digital, creative, and foundation programmes for rangatahi. Native Tech is the education arm of Digital Natives Academy (DNA) and award-winning non-profit founded in 2014. About the Role

We are seeking a proactive, high-performing, no-nonsense and hands-on Campus Manager to lead and support the daily operations of our Rotorua campus. This role ensures our learners, staff, and community experience a safe, welcoming, culturally anchored, and professionally run learning environment.

You’ll work closely with Native Tech leadership, tutors, navigators, and admin teams to coordinate campus operations, uphold compliance, support marketing, recruitment and engagement, and ensure the smooth delivery of our programmes. This role is suited to someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, working with youth, and contributing to a kaupapa with real impact.

  • Hours: Full-time, 35+ hours per week (9:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday)
  • Start Date: Early February 2026

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the campus, ensuring all activities run efficiently, safely, and to a high standard
  • Provide steady leadership and practical support to staff and learners, fostering a positive, professional, and inclusive environment
  • Uphold and monitor compliance requirements across NZQA, TEC, MSD, and other regulatory frameworks
  • Coordinate with external suppliers, contractors, financial services, and other key partners
  • Contribute to marketing efforts, promotional activity, and student recruitment initiatives
  • Oversee inventory, purchasing, budgeting processes, and support payroll and financial administration
  • Lead health and safety systems, including risk management, wellbeing processes, and emergency preparedness

About You

You’re a confident, organised leader who enjoys working with people and supporting a collaborative, community-focused environment.
You will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience leading teams or managing operations within education, youth services, or a similar sector (experience in tertiary or PTE environments is a bonus)
  • High performing, detail focused
  • Excellent planning, coordination, and communication abilities
  • A steady, solutions-focused mindset when navigating challenges
  • The capability to build strong, respectful relationships with ākonga, colleagues, and external partners
  • A high level of integrity, empathy, and professionalism in all interactions

  • NZ citizen or permanent resident
  • Full license, Reliable transport to campus
  • Able to pass a police vetting check
  • Drug-free and able to meet all workplace safety requirements

As our Programme Tutor/Coordinator – Digital Wellbeing & Ethics of Technology, you’ll play a key role in designing and delivering NZQA Levels 1–7 programmes that explore how technology shapes our lives, identities, and communities. This unique position blends teaching, programme development, learner support, and community engagement, with a strong focus on ethical tech futures, research methods, digital citizenship, wellbeing, and creative technologies.
