Native Tech is a bridging programme offering training and microcredentials which help rangatahi (young people) connect with local knowledge and global opportunities, allowing rangatahi a space and place to access essential job skills, support, mentorship, pastoral care, a sense of belonging while illuminating pathways into the IT/digital/creative tech workforce. We’re about cultural connections, skill development, pathway illumination and belonging.
Programme is for 16-24 year olds who are wanting to explore digital and creative tech and
haven’t been in work or study or who want guidance to work through where to go next.
Starts 31 March. Microcredentials available in June/July 2023.
This programme is free. 20 weeks (including 4 weeks break).
*This programme is fees free – all related tech and software will be provided onsite and there is no cost to withdraw.

Located in the heart of Rotorua, Native Tech is Digital Natives Academy's most innovative programme to date providing 1,090 sqm of space alongside high spec computers, VR heatsets and expert mentors and navigators working with young people to help illuminate education, career and training pathways.

About our Programme
Native Tech is a 20 week programme which will help rangatahi reignite their love of learning and help illuminate education, training and career pathways into digital and creative tech.
Our programme starts the last week of March 2023. Enrollments begin mid-Feb 2023.
Learners should be 16-24 and based in Rotorua. No previous experience is needed but an interest in digital and creative tech (game dev, video editing, drawing, esports, gaming, design, art, photography, business) is important.
Our programme runs from 10am-3pm, Monday - Friday (with afternoons open for projects) and Fridays for events. Limit is 20 students, for 20 weeks (with 4 weeks of holiday time) - we will have 2 intakes each year.
No cost, our programme is free.
