About our Programme
Native Tech holds a Category 2 designation under NZQA’s External Evaluation and Review (EER) framework, meaning NZQA is confident in our educational performance and self-assessment capabilities. This reflects our ongoing commitment to quality delivery, continuous improvement, and strong outcomes for learners.
Our next intake is February 2026.
Learners should be 15-24 and based in Rotorua and have no existing qualifications. An interest in digital and creative tech (game dev, video editing, drawing, esports, gaming, design, art, photography, business) is critical. For entry requirements for these accredited programmes, please view our course prospectus. *15 year olds will be considered but they must have an Early Learning Exemption from MOE to enrol.
Our programme runs from 10am-3pm, Monday - Friday (with afternoons open for projects) and Fridays for wellbeing. The programme is 20 weeks long (with 4 weeks of holiday time). There will be 2 intakes each year.
No cost, our programme is free.
